Story of a Bloody Knife

by FNO   Jul 29, 2005

Laying in her bad
A knife at her side
Into her life's pain
She'd silently hide

Staring at the ceiling
She'd grip the handle tightly
Would they even know the truth
That cuts her nightly?

Looking at the walls
Seeing nothing but white
She'd lie in her bed
To cut away the night

Crying as she'd stare.....
Hands running through her hair
Did they really see
All the scars that are there?

Writing this letter
A note of her death
To tell them the truth
About why she had left

Telling a story
A one about a girl
When everything changed
And destroyed her world

On the story goes
Telling about her own life
And how it all ended
With a sharp, bloody knife

Horrifying plot twists
And mystifying turns
Could they ever know
The secret of concern

The story finally ends
With her about to end her life
When a long came the hero
To take away the knife

But the ending wasn't real
And the hero never came
For there was no hero
To shield her from her pain

But the story was written
Before she took her own life
And all that was left
Was the story of a bloody knife
