Dream

by Ashley Mullinax   Jul 29, 2005

A lonely soul torn apart,
can you stitch a broken heart?
Clear my mind of all that's been,
cleanse my being of every sin.
Take the fear,
Take the pain,
take the darkness that is my shame.
Forgive me for all i've done wrong,
don't let me fall from grace,
but fall where i belong.
Where i am fondly held,
and no one will blame,
a place of compassion,
where love isn't merely a game.
In which stars dance,
the moon sings,
and faith flys boldly,
upon gold encrested wings.
Where we can love,
and be loved in return,
no countries at war,
no flags are burned.
This is the dream of many,
it will never die,
can it be accomplished?
It never hurts to try.
