Another Cliche

by Some Random Human   Jul 30, 2005

I hate it when they say,
some stupid cliche,
"Practice makes perfect",
but that's not even worth it,
nothing can be perfect you see,
not even her, and especially not me,

And I hate to say,
another cliche,
for her and I to dance,
I wouldn't stand the chance,
of a snow ball in Hell,
but I'm still here to sell,
yet it's me that's not buying,
no, I'm not even trying,
if I were I'd be dying,
now I wish I was crying,
and you know I'm not lying,
because there's no denying,
the things that I've said,
are now what I dread,

Well, they had to say,
yet another cliche,
"There are other fish in the sea",
but fishing just isn't for me,
now long lives the pain,
and it drives me insane,
even though I have been for so long,
and no matter how you say it, it always seems wrong,

And it pains me to say,
another cliche,
for her and I to dance,
I wouldn't stand the chance,
of a snow ball in Hell,
but I'm still here to sell,
yet it's me that's not buying,
no, I'm not even trying,
if I were I'd be dying,
now I wish I was crying,

Please don't say, "Good-bye",
because if you do I might die,
now I may not be too keen on life,
but that doesn't mean that all of it's strife,
there are some parts that make it worth living,
even when I'm giving and giving,
and nothing comes back in return,
and my heart is left to burn,

Since it hurts just to say,
another cliche,
I'll not say a single thing,
and wait to hear that sweet voice sing....
