I Want A Daddy

by LonelyNightsHurt   Jul 30, 2005

I want a daddy, to tell me I’m his little girl
And that I’m the only one, in the whole, wide world

I want a daddy, to wipe away my tears
And to wake me up from bad dreams, to help me face my fears

I want a daddy, to kiss the pain away from my scraped knee
And to push me way up high, when I’m on a swing by a big tree

I want a daddy, to do daddy things with me
And to take me places, and help me to see

I want a daddy, so give me away at my wedding day
And to be proud of me in every single way

I want a daddy, that did not pass away just after I was born
And for my daddy to realise that because he did, my heart will be forever torn
