Random Fools

by Jacklyn   Jul 31, 2005

Just stare at random people,
Make them think you know them,
Fools, lies and jokes.
As they search files in their mind for you.
Just keep that train on rolling,

Smile and make up stories,
Watch them act along with you,
Of course they remember “that one time…” too,
When it appears that they think they know you,
Announce it was your mistake for someone different.

~actually made this at writing camp a long time ago and just got around to fix it up and post it. this was a fun one to write!~

HA! That's funny! I've always wanted to do that to someone. :)

You made the challenge of "Acting like you know someone" into an amazing little poem!

I'm thinking that line 7 should end "you" not "your"

I've done this to a few people over the years, except in a different way. You conveyed this well though, i didn't think you'd end it as a funny sort-of-easy going poem. But nice work hun.
