You think you know me but it's only a lie,
This happiness of mine is only a disguise,
You laugh you smile you tell me your in love,
you look at me as though I'm your angel from above,

But if only you knew how your angel felt,
And how she longs to have that fatal blow dealt,
But you have no clue because you no longer listen to her,
Because if you did you'd know your love wasn't the cure,

You think I am perfect you think I am yours,
But in my room my crimson regret pours,
You think I'm in love just because I say it back,
But in a harsh reality my heart is cold and black,

I'm not an angel and if so my halo I left far behind,
and as I look it seems my wings I cannot find,
If only you knew your angel was a fake,
an unreal myth that you decided to make,

You think I am in love when really I'm not,
You tell me that now I'm all that you've got,
You think I'm yours and you are mine,
But in reality I'm your sun that will never shine,

If only you knew your angel wasn't real,
If only you knew happiness isn't what she feels,
To know the broken trust that has torn off her wings,
To be able to hear the song she mournfully sings,

You stare at her gasping and grab her hand,
You look at her scarred arm but can't understand,
She's suppose to be happy and with you she should stay,
But still you can't help but feel as if her heart is astray,

So close you seem to finding out my disguise,
So close to know happiness isn't in my eyes,
But you give up and break my heart once more,
Making me miss the one I loved before,

You stare lovingly in her direction to find she's not there,
Why would she leave- she had all of your care,
you start to look for her but it seems she's disappeared,
And still you cannot hear the mournful voice of her tears,

She's crying over all the lies she made you believe,
She's just as bad as him the one who she had to leave,
She is hiding from you so she can't hurt you anymore,
She is ready to give in she lies broken on the floor,

If only you knew she was never your angel at all,
If only you knew that from heaven she never did fall,
If only you knew that your angel was nothing but a fake,
If only you knew she was nothing but a mistake,

But as she lays broken on the ground,
She notices that you are no longer around,
She feels bad for what she's done to you,
She's sorry she never meant it when she said I love you too,

If you only you knew that this angel was about to die,
If only you knew she didn't have the heart to say good-bye,
If only you knew she felt as if she didn't belong,
If only you knew that your angel had felt so wrong...

As she takes the knife and rakes it across her veins,
She starts to cry- can she handle the pain?
Your angel it letting her liquid life drain,
She's found in her clothes all bloody and stained,

If only you knew your angel needed to be saved,
If only you knew love wasn't what she craved,
But now she is dead and you feel like your at fault,
As you look in the casket at her face you suddenly halt,

She had been your angel the one for which you cared,
She had been all alone- she had seemed so scared,
Scared that she would hurt you which she has done,
Only because from your love she did run,

If only you knew why your angel was so scared,
If only you knew for you she never really cared,
If only you could understand she wasn't an angel after all,
If only you knew against you she had been building a wall,

Now as she lays there her world dead and black,
You look at the darkened sky to hear the thunder's crack,
You had loved her but she never loved you,
And knowing this now breaks your heart in two,

She was a fake angel if only you had known,
That she was your sun that had never shown,
She was a fake angel who was taken away,
The lightning in a darkened sky you always want to stay,

But like the lightning she has left in the blink of an eye,
She leaves you in darkness to be alone and cry,
She is lowered in the ground and covered in dirt,
As you stare at her fresh grave you stand alone and hurt.
