Momma

by Sherry Lynn   Jul 31, 2005

Momma, help me please
I can not take it anymore
He beat me again, Momma,
This time worse than before

Why does he hit me, Momma?
Why must he be so mean?
Is it because I am not of his blood?
Or is it because I am fourteen?

Momma, my head hurts
I hit it when I landed on the tile floor
He blacked my eye too, Momma
And left a bruise on my nose

Most of all, Momma
My heart is aching
I only wish daddy
Would love me once more.

Please, Momma, do not cry
Just hold me tight
And tell me
Everything will be alright

Well written. It's horrible that some men seem to need violence to feel powerfull.

I love the way you wrote how you showed that the beaten teen needs someone to hold on to diring this hard time-in this casse momma.

    Wonderfull
