Winters Last Blossom

by Iyla   Aug 1, 2005

A cast of silent nightfall
swept over the graves
to a single blossom on your grave
to show you what I've done today

.::.

playing in the cold winter snow
upon the cemetery hills
dropping roses on the graves
to remind them their family loves them still

past the great walls
where their names where engraved
i placed roses upon roses
to remind them their family is safe

past crying fathers
with their hands on there dead sons grave
running there fingers over the lines
tracing the letters of their name

past the flowing flag
and the lined up white graves
i searched everyone
until i found your name

.::.

there i found it
don't worry father you weren't forgotten
and so i place upon you grave with my love
winters last blossom

* it could have been better but i tried, with all my heart*
