If you visit me someday

by Greta Miller   Aug 1, 2005

I couldn't remain here
Couldn't shed one more tear
I took matters into my own hands
Said goodbye to all my friends
They didn't understand
The problems at hand
Bury me today
There is nothing left to say
I'll be dead by dawn
In this life I was just a useless pawn
When they find me
as they will soon see
I'll be long gone
Before the night gives birth to a new dawn
What will anyone say
on my funeral day
Even though I'm no there I will know
What was said by friend or foe
what lies in that box is just a shell
Don't cry or dwell
For when they lower me down
Down 6 feet into the ground
I'm not there
I left when it was all unfair
When the wind whispers to you
Realize its me speaking to you
If you come back and visit me
As one day you will see
I'm not there.
