The Final Fight

by Mariah Pettigrew   Aug 1, 2005

The Final Fight

I write your name in crimson ink
Along my fragile wrist
I wait only a second
Then I tightly clench my fist
My blood flows so easily
My veins are running dry
I slowly give in to you
Give in to all your lies
The scar is there forever
So I will not forget
All the pain you caused me
And all of my regret
Not only did you scar my wrist
You also scarred my heart
You ripped my life away from me
And tore my soul apart
I cannot forget you
You haunt me day and night
The scars will never fade away
I've lost the final fight
