The plane

by Ms Stacy   Aug 2, 2005

I'm sitting here just waiting for the plane
For the sound of its thrusts and the sound of it as it starts to stay
My heart begins to beat fast as 3 start to head in
My soldiers coming home on leave and I get to meet him
We fell for each other threw chatting and a few late night phone calls
He was close friends with my uncle who he calls Sir in front of all
2 planes touch down 1 begins to circle, waiting to for it's chance to finally touch down and refuel.
The men inside ready to go home, to be with their families and friends whom they love and call their own
I sit here with anticipation and worry on my mind
What if he doesn't want me after all and how he react to seeing for the the first time here alone
I see one soldier step out and to no luck its not him, none of the others are either
I have to wait for the next plane to unload to see him
Yet to no Ade he's not their either
But my heart pumps faster as i see the 3ed plane landing
First man steps out stretches a bit
I can see from here its still not him.
I'm standing up for a minute my legs like jelly from the wait
My dress flowing around me so elegant in the soft wind
I turn my back for a minute to get my something then hear his name being shouted from behind me making me spin
The first man smiles as Rhett steps down the stairs, my face lights up and he throws his duffel bag and runs for me instead
I jump into his arms my body not stopping for a moment,
This wasn't something that I could stop it from doing
We looked at each other for a long long while before hearing behind him
"O god just kiss the girl"
Right before his lips touched mine and we fell into a deep embrace
My alarm clock goes off and my memory is still locked on his face
I have to get up and get dressed today
I have to meet him at the airport and finally meet him face to face.
