They don't understand,
Just what you are to me.
You were hated and rejected,
But i stood by you till the end.
Don't you see i miss you?
You understood me,
More than anyone ever did,
While i was lost in my insecurity.

They don't understand,
What was beneath that wall.
You built it up so soon,
You didn't let anyone get in.
Yet in me you saw something,
And told your heart and soul.
I tried to give you everything,
But i was burying my own hole.

They don't understand,
Why i always ran back to you.
Why i wouldn't let you suffer,
Even after all you put me through.
Why i still believed your lies,
But to me they were your eyes,
Into your disturbed vision.
You were lost in a world untrue.

They don't need to understand,
Because its really just me and you.
Just wish i knew where i stand,
In this spiraling friendship.

Just know I'm still here,
And yes i still care.
Not a day goes by,
Where i don't think of you and cry.
Hoping you're still out there,
And whether you still care.

The worst is not knowing,
Whether you're even alive.
Hoping my thoughts will reach you,
Still holding on together and strong.

They just don't know,
