"Come quick, I need your help!".
I run blindly down the stair,
I turn the corner, and see her gasping for air.
I can't think now, I'm so scared.
But my mother needs me, so i kneel beside her mothers bed.

I rubbed her hands warm,
I begged her to stay..
I love her so much,
I wish I never saw her that way
But it was her fate, she was taken away.

I praised every breath she took,
"Hang on they're almost here".
An hour passed by, minutes without breath,
How will I tell her of her mothers death?

My mother is outside in a panic,
she is waiting for the paramedic.
be strong Corne! don't cry!
I think to my self, I'm wondering why..
My mother hugs me, "she came here to get better, not to die"

In the waiting room, she came to say her goodbye's,
I saw her standing in the doorway, I saw happiness in her eyes.
maybe it was crazy, and all in my mind..
But i know, she'll never leave me behind.

* I will always love you, and remember you in your happy times. Thank you for not leaving me with regrets. Thank you for saying goodbye. R.I.P. 1939-03-02 - 2005-08-02 *
