To my late great cousin

by James Sawyer   Aug 2, 2005

So you had to say good-bye
We never knew the tears you cried
I wish you had of come to me
In your hour of dire need

When I was small I looked up to you
Now I’m not sure what to do
I guess I’ll see you again in time
When it’s my turn, my place in line

In your poems lays your memory
To understanding why they were key
I guess all your dreams wont come true
So I’ll live my life for me and you
