Broken Lullaby

I lay upon my bed
singing my broken lullaby
trying to fall asleep
as i wipe my crying eyes

i whisper to myself
the song i always sing
my voice is very shaky
my tears being released

crimson falling swiftly
upon my reddened sheets
i hold my teddy bear close
inside i start to scream

every night i sing
knowing i wont ever be missed
so now i tell you
my lullaby goes like this :

Hush little girl
you'll soon be free
just sing this song
when you want to be released

slit your wrists
cry your last tear
don't forget
to kiss your teddy bear

sing me to sleep
every single night
follow the words
and sing the broken lullaby
