His words are floating,
In one ear and out the other,
Only a few are sticking,
She hears “overâ€, “moved onâ€, and “goodbyeâ€,
each syllable stabbing her soul,
Making it hard for her to breath,
She falls to the floor weeping,
How could he break her heart like this?
He was the best thing that happened to her,
But he let her down too,
Now she has nothing to live for,
It’s all a big lie meant to kill her from within,
She has nothing left but a razor blade,
And painful memories that need to be lost,
She digs into her tender flesh,
Hoping to spill her pain into the world,
In the form of human sacrifice,
So she won’t have to bear it,
But it’s still too much to take,
She writes her final letter,
Confirming the worst and letting go,
Saying sorry for being a failure,
Promising it will never happen again,
Declaring her ultimate farewell,
Then cuts deep into her wrist,
Falls to the floor dead in the worst way;
Her mother finds her corpse still dripping blood,
They have to take her away screaming now,
Insane from the sickening scene,
Of what was once her loving daughter;
Her father blames himself for this,
Why didn’t he see it coming?
He drinks himself to sleep every night now,
Disturbed by the frightening dreams,
Of his beautiful little girl;
Amazing how much damage a few little words can do.
