The smell of bitter beer
Upon my parents breath
Of hard times yet to come
Tears they may bring us by
Different trails from town to town
Along season changing days
But beer was all I grew up on
As my life begin to change
Of nightmare fights with hatreds words
As homeless lays deep in my hands
But one thing kept my mind off that
Was collecting different rocks
With we lost them in storage
But my grandma was always there
To keep us away from harm
From seeing our parents drink stupidly
Wasting our child life down the way
Leaving us only our memories
Of what life really is
