IF All Else Fails

Watching the stars
Falling from the sky
I sit here
And I wonder why

The worst is over now
It’s time that killing me
Feeling so alone
I know you are beside me

If all else fails
And nothing is as it should be
I know things will be ok
Because I have your picture next to me

If I cant take it any more
I go and drift off to sleep
In that land of our own
You are always next to me

I’m never sure
If I’m ever worth your time
But you treat me like I am
One day, you’ll be mine

No matter what happens
I’ll stick by your side
Together forever
All the time

I will make you feel complete
I will cherish you
Like there’s no tomorrow
It’s the least I could do

If all else fails
And nothing is as it should be
I know things will be ok
Because I have your picture next to me

    Real nice Ben ...I always try and read the poems here on this site slow and deliberate and as if they had been meant for me. Then I see what they make me feel like at the end. This was a good feeling generator!! nice words - keep up the good writes..
