Not Perfect

Why can't everyone let me be?
All I want is just to be me
All you ever expect
Is for me to be perfect
Well I'm sorry to say
That it will not go your way
Because perfect I can't be
Why can't you see?
I do try
I still can't figure out why
I do whatever it takes
To try and not make any mistakes
But damn give me a break
I am only fifteen
You know what I mean
I am going to make mistakes
Not follow rules and go out on a date
I need to learn from my wrong
It may take time short or long
But learn I will
And until
Then, please just try and help me
Through times that are bad
Instead of always getting mad
Yelling at me for being a disappointment
Which I never meant
To be or do
All I wanted was to please you
But I guess that is impossible
Since you are so unappeasable
I give up
Trying to be everything that you want
I'll just live my life nonchalant
No more pleasing everyone
And all the ones that want me perfect I shall shun
Because I am done
Of being something/someone that I am not
And soon I will have forgot
All about you and trying to be perfect
Because I have finally made things correct
And all the built up stress
Is now less
I'm finally free
And all it took was just being me
