15 Minutes

Slowly giving up hope that you'll ever call,
Lonely during the day,
Wanting you to hold me at night.
Still talking to you on line about normal things,
Hiding the fact my heart is breaking, piece by piece.
Today, missing you endlessly,
Once again you're the only thing on my mind.
Wondering when your face I'll see,
Dreaming about your touch,
Imagining your kiss.
Talking to my friend on the phone,
"He'll call!" She tells me, and not to give up hope.
Then, I see somebody riding toward my door,
My stomach flips,
My heart starts to pound as I realize its you.
I run to the door so fast,
Opening the door to you,
I collapse in your arms.
As I hold you close to me,
I realize how much I've missed you,
How much I love you.
It was only 15 minutes that you could stay,
But it managed to make my day.
Seeing you again, hearing you speak,
Once again my world is complete.
You say "I love you" once again,
Reassure me I'll see you soon.
As you ride away,
I feel no longer afraid.
Falling in love all over again,
As a big smile never leaves my face today.
My faith in 'us',
Once again restored,
All I wanted was to hold you close once more.
15 minutes such a short space of time,
But seeing you today for only that long,
Deep inside it will last a lifetime.
You've proven to me once again you are the guy I fell for,
Made me see why we fit so well,
The reasons why we stick around.
In only 15 minutes I've fallen in love for you once more,
But much more deeper than ever before.
