The sun is banished to a far away land
For I am lost and empty without your guiding hand
Smiles have faded and tears have fallen all night
As I sit by the flames burning into my sight

Your heartbeat a distant beacon I cannot see
I am stuck on pityous moors without you with me
Lonely birdsong drifts gently among the air
Shadows form so quickly whilst you are not there

Your eyes, a light which has dimmed without sound
Your voice a sanctuary which cannot be found
Torturing gently by the open fires of hell
Washing away heartache in a drunken cell

Leaving tomorrow to a week of deception and hurt
Dragging myself through hours of pain staking dirt
Leaving with your name engraved upon my soul
Leaving the part of me that makes me so whole

Your smile, lost in the lonesome mist
The sea brings memories of the times we've kissed
Sifting through ashes, songs to those who are lost
Leaving my heart with what awful cost

Pictures and letters words locked in my mind
Strangulation of happiness without you to find
Sadness becomes a feeling I know all to well
Pennies fall deep into the broken wishing well

Leaving without you sitting here by my side
Leaving and praying that you feel fine inside
