I am a strong 14 year old girl

I am a strong 14 year old girl who is diagnosed with lupus
I wonder if I'll be able to handle everything that has been going on
I hear my friends telling me that I can do it
I see a girl who is keeping her hopes up and is trying to stay healthy as best as she can be
I am a strong 14 year old girl who is diagnosed with lupus.

I pretend that me having lupus can't stop from doing things i was doing before my diagnoses
I feel that I am being as strong as someone can be during a time something happens
I touch Cuddles my teddy bear whenever I feel sad and then i just lay there and hold him
I worry that I might not be able to have kids because of lupus
I cry when I have real low self-esteem and feel like no one loves or cares about me
I am a strong 14 year old girl who is diagnosed with lupus.

I understand that many things for me are going to change since being diagnosed with lupus
I say to my friends that even though I have been diagnosed with lupus, I can still do things I did before
I dream that I'll still be able to come a good mom and lawyer even after being diagnosed with lupus
I try to ignore all the stress around me
I hope that I'll always be strong and do what I have to do; to stay healthy and to live a good life
I am a strong 14 year old girl who is diagnosed with lupus.

I wrote that poem because this past January i was diagnosed with lupus a disease that effects all of your organs and all.
