Someone

by Heatha Ashlee   Aug 5, 2005

Someone who isn't afraid
To hold my hand
Infront of his friends

He'd whisper sweet things in my ear
And walk me home at night
Run his fingers through my hair
..He'd do everything right

Someone to make me laugh
When I'm having a bad day
Or sit down and comfort me

He'd buy me cute little gifts
And cuddle with me for a movie
Hold me tight
And he'd tell me how much he loves me

Someone to meet my family
And not be afraid to show them
How much he really cares inside

He'd be my soul mate
Someone to talk to and confide
He'd be my star, sun, and moon
He'd be the perfect guy.

i think this poem is delicately balanced in portraying not only what you want, but what you are afraid of recieving. I think you write these words out of a lack of such a feeling, and that you measure your happiness in love and your sadness in disapointment. I feel like a bad critic, but I honestly loved your poem. I think it's worthy of professional recognition, and that it states your desire clearly, which makes it easy to not only relate to but similarly share that feeling of needing a trustworthy source of undying affection. Not that us guys would know too much about that, though......
    great job regardless, 5/5
