You say that you care.
But then you turn around,

I'll admit I was scared,
To let myself show.

You saw I was weak,
And quickly turned away.
Pretended not to notice,
Left with nothing to say.

I just stood there,
With my heart open wide.
Being exposed to the world,
My heart couldn't hide.

You still didn't see,
The pain that you gave.
My heart dried up,
Now there's nothing to save.

It's burning me inside,
How you said you'd understand.
But quickly ran away,
When I started to reach for your hand.
