There is no end to it

Whenever I seem to find some sort of peace of mind
Something else crops up and kicks me from behind
It’s not always significant
It’s just a little reminder
That my life is anything but a normal one
That unsolved issues continue to come

When just for a short time you have peace of mind
From some other quarter comes more shit to unwind.
Some of it’s good
Some just more crap
But it always takes you back to the pain in your core
Memories that tear you apart till you can’t take anymore

When finally you think that you can move on now
More troubles surface, slap you down, then Kapow
You crumble again
You stumble then fall
Only to pick up the pieces yet once again
Rebuilding is exhausting and a huge mental drain

There is no escaping no matter how far you’re removed
The problems your facing need addressing it’s been proved
Sweet respite is but fleeting
Energies restored soon depleted
It takes more than just hoping and thinking things through
To crawl through this maze and be true to just you

To breathe freely on crisp clean new air
Gives you the strength to handle all that is there
Fresh uncluttered mind
Free spirit dancing
Can overcome all problems that will surely arise
And build a new fulfilling life as the ultimate prize

Normally, I'll show the writer my favorite stanza on what I read by them, but this one, WHOA! Every stanza, line, and word I read just blew my hair off my head I swear!! This was a catchy title and a nicely written peice! You say I have a great gift, I think you should speak for yourself! This poem was breathtakingly true!!! I loved every minute I spent reading it!!!
    Kind Regards,
