I Couldn't Go Back to Sleep

This morning I woke up
I sat up and thought
About a life where no one
Cried, screamed, or fought
There was only kindness
Good hearts, and true smiles
All you could see was good
Across miles and miles
I thought and I pondered
And I looked down to weep
I had, had a perfect dream
But I couldn’t go back to sleep
