Musical paradise

by Eponine   Aug 7, 2005

The anguish! the pain! the anger!
but how to release?!
i sit at the piano, my stare fixated at the contrast,
the shiny blackness and the blinding white become one!

i shut my eyes and start to play,
pianissimo at first, soft sweet, light.
but I'm reminded of my anger!
the pressure of my fingers deepens,

the sound is not sweet anymore, its dark, fierce and strong!
my breathing deepens, to fit with the breaths of the music!
I'm trapped in a musical paradise,
i enjoy it, i feel free, to be who i really am!

my body moves in time with the music,
i sway as the as if I'm a snake being charmed by a snake charmer,
but only, I'm the charmer, and its me I'm listening to!
the music slows down, i begin a sweet melody again!

fortissimo!!! the musical paradise ends!
i slowly open my eyes, no more anger, no pain and no anguish!
satisfaction spreads through my mind!

music is a way of life!!!
and with it, anyone can survive,
through a tough and troubled life!!!
