To My Dearest Friend (part two)

by Jacklyn   Aug 7, 2005

To my dearest friend,
For you I was always there.
Always offering hope and advice at hand.
Offering two loving arms for a warm hug.

For you I was by your side,
Through broken hearts,
And through vicious fights,
Always the one to hold you while you cried.

I was the friend that was there,
As others disappeared,
You’re my friend of gold,
As I am your.

The one you always came to,
The one always willing to listen,
Were we can sit for hours,
Yet still say nothing,

Rest beneath the stars,
And feel peace and happiness within each other.
To my dearest friend,
I never told you a single lie.

Never stabbed you behind your back,
Never betrayed your or left you behind.
Me dear friend you can’t say the same,
Because you never told me of your growing seed of pain.

That ate at your heart and left you in the constant rain,
But my friend you left me here,
Alone, flooded within my own tears,
Your thoughts were selfish disregarding me.

Didn’t you think how much pain I would have to now face?
Didn’t you think of the gold that you had held?
All you left me was a letter following your suicide,
To which it all began, “To my dearest friend…”

~i've already said this about twice before, but suicide has rippled effects, it effects not just the person who made the decision but everyone who cared and loved for that person. trust those that care for you, let them know of your seed of pain growing in you and let them help you. life is worth living but it will have it's rough spots to help us notice those there for us.~

You are absolutely right. I wish more people would read this poem (I read part 1) It is equally as good as this part. Outstanding job!
