All This Misery

by Some Random Human   Aug 8, 2005

I've seen endless pain through these eyes,
through the rain, filled with lies,
and I've felt a broken heart,
'til the end, from the start,
so let me fall, if falling's what I'm meant for,
and let me fail, if failing's what I'm bent for,
I don't need to fly, if fluttering is all I can do,
but I need something that I can't have, I need you,
oh I need you more than anything here on Earth,
you're what I've been searching for since birth,
yet I'm broken down, to my knee,
from all this pain and misery,
pick me up, help me stand,
don't let go, hold my hand,
because you're everything, everything worth loving,
but my heart, my heart you just keep shoving,
shoving back down my throat, into my chest,
and that's not where it belongs, not at it's best,
it should be with you, locked away,
but here it is stuck with me today,
oh, I've seen endless pain,
I've stood out in the rain,
my eyes have seen things that should never be,
and my life is filled with all this misery...
