Killed By One Of Your Own

by David Wallace   Aug 8, 2005

The shining prince he was one of our own,

Gave hope to the faithless and showed the facts to the unknown.

Full of sacrifice,love and compassion,

Never gave up till we were treated equally and showed the utmost satisfaction.

Prince of Allah faithful to your people,

Not fully understood a black supremest thats how they seen you.

But you never gave up and you never gave in,

Determined to never forget the past change the present, pave the way to the future and wanted a more prosperous way of living 2 begin.

They took your life away at your highest point while you were sitting on your thrown,

Brutally struck down envied by many killed by one of your own.

Died early but not without a righteous cause,

Thanks 4 your blood, sweat, and tears and for bringing sunlight at the end of the tunnel with your unconditional love.

Dedicated to Malcolm X

    That's a really great poem.

I particularly enjoyed the last line, and the words "unconditional love". It really captures you and makes you appreciate what Malcom X did.

I cannot believe I haven't commented on this poem. I really thought I did. Haha! :) A wonderfully written piece (as usual ;). The rhyme is consistent with a beautiful message woven within the words. Very well done :).

I've recently written a new poem. I haven't done so in a while, so you may wish to view it when it suits you best. Please and thank you :D.

    Yours truly,
    Elysium. X
