Battle Within My Walls

by Ashli   Aug 8, 2005

Within my walls
there's a small, scared little girl
She sits all alone in the corner
watching, waiting for the danger to unfurl

She hears a vicious snarl
From somewhere in the room
Fear threatens to engulf her
If she doesn't escape soon

Then she hears padded footsteps
Of a monster coming near
This girl begins to sob
Loud enough for the beast to hear

Knowing this is her death
Doomed to die by a monster's hands
She decides it's not going to end like that
And prepares to make her stand

Within seconds the gruesome battle begins
Between the girl and the beast
The girl no longer scared, the beast still fierce
They were evenly matched, to say the least

She dealt him a heavy blow
That knocked him to the floor
She stood there battle-weary
Ready to deal more

The beast looked at her
Barely alive and breathing
She finished him off out of pity
Her face bloody, her chest heaving

She looked at the foul creature
That lay dead on the floor
She turned her head, and shed a tear
For the beast that was no more.

oohh... dark. heh heh. Very creative, feels a little bit slow (what does that mean, I have no idea, but it does). But it was still a good read. Great job! ^_^x
