Silhouette

by Jemma   Aug 8, 2005

Staring though
Shattered glass
Icy air cutting away
Frost in my heart

A reflection of a dream
A shadow of hope
Resides in my mind
But I’m just silhouette

Light refracted from me
Left to my own devices
Forbidden to live
Each frozen breath torments

Too cold in the caverns
Too dark in the deep depths
An icy path cut with glass
Watching a mirror

Inspecting an image
Deliberate mistakes
Pause to forget
Just a silhouette
