A Chained Destiny

Red glow humming in the soul
Black pools for eyes to devour the light
Singing the song of an eerie death
To mark the remains of new life.
Gently swaying in mind's dark womb
Listening to whispers, a child grows strong.
Healing darkness to swath a babe
In the coldness and the dark of betrayal.
Seethrough skin sheaths the created one
Still lies so deep within me...
...Burdens my thoughts with pleasures of blood
And sooths my happiness with a silent smirk
Pure evil incarnate, it breathes when I breathe.
It sings when I sing
And is awake when I am sleeping.

The world turns and you are right where I want you to be.
Run to where you cannot shield your eyes...
...A ray of hope you'll never find...
...For memories are only a curse.

The one within shrouds my light
And I can see that I am slowly dying.
Yes, to die would be beneficial for my darkest desires...
...But would inevitably kill all that was nurtured in my time in the Light.
So don't turn away...
Witness this new horizon...
The ebony stillness of this new dawn...
Unable to shine enough light to guard my path.
It keeps me silent and overpowers me...
...And so I shall become this thing.
...
This refuse of humanity.
My life.
My burden and blessing.
My strength.
.........My soul.

Leave me to my current demise, young one. Leave me to die at the feet of light and be reborn to black grasses and green silk...rivers of crimson and sinister laughter.

I laugh because my darkness laughs.
The rest of me is silent.
