Light And Dark

by AynJal   Aug 9, 2005

Dark shadows crept up to my bed
Blood from my chest came up to my neck
Angel’s screams rang over in my head
Where are you now?

Green eyes like the emerald around my neck
Soft face like a dress of white satin
Gentle touch always bringing me back
And your smile brings me happiness once again
Heart made of solid gold

An emerald moon
Reflects in your eyes
A touch of silver
You hear the stars cry
Your skin blends in
So soft and pure

Black petals fall to the floor
I’m not normal anymore
Your blood, and I’m immortal
As my eyes shift from the bed to the door

Whipped across my back
The slashes on my neck
Blood flowing down the cracks
When will my suffering end
I work hard all day
I dig and I try
To do all that you tell me to do
And hold back the tears I’ve cried

Kiss me then kill me
As I hand you a gun
Choke me then taste me
And away you will run

Black heart
Disembark
As the petals
That fall apart
Down a vine
That draws a line
Between the light
And dark
