Ending

by eternitySOlong   Aug 9, 2005

*This was for my 8th grade year. It was a crazy and messed up year.*

The end of the year is ahead
"Look forward, not back," someone once said
This year is different, seperate from them all
So many stumbles, many triumphs, too many falls
This year had so many emotions
So many smiles, so many tears to fill the oceans
Friends have come and gone, here and there
I will keep this year so close, so fragile, so fare
So many things lost, so many things won
A year can go by so fast, now it's done
Hundreds of memories run through my eyes
The livliness fades, but the thought never dies
Some smiles are faded, some smiles are gone
Why can't it be for eternity, for so long

Through thoughts of suicidal cries
The sorrows fade, as the thought shies

You were once there, now you're not
These tears soothe, yet are so fiery hot

You are and were there for me when I needed you
If something ever changed, I don't know what I would or could do

You were there to talk, you always listened to me
You don't know the effect you left, you could never see

As you go the bridge starts to bend
Now this year comes to an end

I relate well with this poem....My best friend and I actually lost our friendship in 8th grade, she doesn't even realize how hard it hurt for me, to lose her as a friend....
