Fable of Love

I can't think straight, my mind isn't there
Sweet love for you mixes with my despair
My veins seem empty, my eyes always blank
The first time I couldn't find you, my heart just sank
Tears build up in the corners of my eyes
I hold them back but let out my cries
No words can describe the emotions I feel
Without you, the scars on my mind can never fully heal
I want you here just to hold me
Us as one, together we'll be
You're perfect in every way
I can't wait until that one day
When you come back, my puzzle can finally end
My breaths can calm, my cuts can mend
The memories of your kiss keeps me going
Never giving up on you, all the while not knowing
Burning your name, just brands it in my mind
I love you, but your answers I need to find
You're the love of my life, the twinkle in my eye
When you hold me, I know I can fly
My feelings seem to be telling a tale
In my story, love always fails
The ending to my fable could change if you'd just come along
Because closing the book now would always seeem wrong
