As I look back on my life
I try to see
Where I have gone
Who I have turned out to be
Am I some one
Who has love to give
Am I some one
Who has really lived
I ask myself
What have I done?
Does my life
Have purpose for anyone?
Then I think of
The man I love
The one I love
More than anyone
He loves me
Unconditionally
He loves me
Makes me try to see
Things aren’t as bad
As they seem
You just need
To hold on to your dream
He’s tried to show me
It’s not what you want
It’s what you have
Know that and
You’ll have
All you need
Nothing more
Nothing less
Just look and know
You’re blessed
Blessed by God’s grace
Blessed by God’s love
Never to need any other one
A lesson
I’m still trying to learn
I hope I do before
My bridges I burn
I pray I do before
Its too late
Before I reach those
Famous gates
My love he tries so everyday
To help me just
To find my way
I try to see
But still at times
Feel like I lost
My way to find
Someday I will.
My path will be found
God and my love
Will not let me down
Then I know
I am alive
My path in life
I will indeed find
And then I think…
Reflect about my love a while
HE has made my life worthwhile
