Father's abuse

by Iyla   Aug 10, 2005

Screams, echo threw her head
thrashes filled with anger hit her hard
yelling, hitting, crying, bleeding
her body's falling apart

laying upon her bed
silently weeping
hoping he wouldn't come back again
she pretended to be sleeping

tears rolling down her cheeks
as he busts threw the door
" get down on your knees"
he screamed "you stupid who.re"

he pushed her down
his fist hit her head
everything went black
she hoped she was dead

she woke up, in a puddle of her blood
lying on the cold floor
she cant take it
she cant live this way anymore

she walked over to her dresser
grabbed the razor inside
she couldn't take the abuse
or her terrible life

she pulled it across
just as he opened the door
a tear ran down her face
her battered body fell to the floor

she was finally free
from her fathers pain
she lay dead on the ground
with a smile of happiness on her face

    5/5!!

Sad poem and I know what it feels like to be abused...not by my father but by my mother. Growing up that is all I ever had given to me...a good beating. But now there is no more hitting just very emotionally painful comments that hurt worse then she will know. But it is good because I express it through words.

Keep it up. You're an excellent, very talented, poetess.
