Don't Forget (to remember me)

by dandy   Aug 11, 2005

Fell out of my sadness,
landed into your heart.
Wrapped up in your arms,
sheltered from the dark.

One last tear I cried,
you wiped it away.
The flood of my happiness
washed out my dismay.

A smile I bore
on my new joyful face.
Protected from pain
that had been erased.

But hurt now seeps in
through cracks of doubt;
Wondering how I'm to deal without.

Contemplating other love
that you may come upon,
blocks out truth's light,
and puts shadows on the dawn.

How long the light shines,
there's no garuntee;
Just please don't forget
to remember me.
