Beautiful Silence

by Clare   Aug 12, 2005

Hug me
Kiss me
Hold me close
As we dangle our feet in the water
I sense your embrace
The feel of being loved
Your arms around my waist
Your chin on my shoulder
We blankly stare at the water
Our minds are one
I know what you think
Imaginations gone wild
Brought us here today
I lay back into the comfort of your body
With you, I am safe from
Even myself
Now we lay in the grass
Fingers intertwined
Staring at the evening sky
Shh, don’t break this beautiful silence
Spare me the words
For you can hear my thoughts
Ringing through the trees
With every breeze
Rustling the leaves
You hear my voice
I love you

This poem is beautiful. I can feel the love flow through the words like water through an open hole in a dam.
