Means to the End

by *Kyle*   Aug 12, 2005

When it started I understood, nothing too serious but something good, In the middle I lost place, started to change and picked up pace. I was feeling strong, but also weak, like I just reached the top of a mountainous peak, it's something I've feared, I wanted to hide, wouldn't let it out. So, I'd lock it inside. When you start to care there is no going back, your senses shut down and your reasoning lacks, it's like stepping out and starting to fall, or walking through an invisible wall, only to be trapped on the other side, troubled and lost, along for the ride. You know it's wrong, but it could be right, that familiar rush, and the blinding light. Somehow I knew it would be this way, one more time to let me pay, Would have been nice to be proven wrong, a truthful hymn, lest a lying song, I never expected what we had to last, probably me, may be your past. I liked you immensely, I won't lie, I'll miss your smile, but I will not cry. Just so you know your better than this, but it's your choice, I hope you find bliss. I thought you were special all along, I thought you were worth it, but I was wrong.
