The Truth About You

by AllHailTheHeartbreaker   Aug 12, 2005

Don't want to hear
What I know is true
Trying to ignore
The truth about you.

I'm sorry for you
And it hurts to say
I don't need you
You have to go away.

I have to hear
What I know is true
Please understand why
I have to leave you.

I don't want to hurt you
So please forgive me
I can only pray and hope
That someday you'll see.

Now you've heard
What we know is true
Now I need to leave
And say good-bye to you.

Do not push me
Control your temper
Don't fight back
Just please surrender.

Now I've told you
What is right and true
I hope you understand
The truth about you.

Not your best work, but still very good. I like the straight foreward meaning in the poem, and the concept really pulled me in. good job, keep it up.
