The Fallen Ones

I stare into the abyss
where the fallen ones lie
broken, dark and torn inside

Their wings once white, now black
Eyes showing memories of years gone by

If only they could be….

The darkness overpowering
In the abyss the light is descending

The dark ones arrive
eyes black smiles devious

The fallen ones know, it’s their time
