Afraid

I'm so lost
I'm so confused
My bones are broken
My skin is bruised

Through all the yelling
From all these years
No one has seen
Me shed any tears

The arguments continue
Most of the time
That's why I'm writing
This sad rhyme

Nobody knows
How I must feel
They all see through me
As though I'm unreal

My eyes are swollen
From shedding these tears
My parents are
My deepest fears
