She tells me she’s leaving, and I stare off into space
She turned and walked away, as a tear slid down my face

She looked back and said, I have nothing more to give
It’s time I move on, I have so much life to live

I ran after her and I reached for her hand
Why are you leaving, I still don’t understand

I’ve loved my dear, ever since our start
I can’t believe you’re doing this, your breaking my heart

We were so in love, on such a great coarse
And now you’re leaving me, showing no remorse

The thought of you leaving, makes me want to cry
I can’t find the words to say our final goodbye

I want to say more, but I hold myself back
It’s like I’m dying inside, from a massive heart attack

With you gone from my life, my heart will feel somber
But absence does truly make the heart grow fonder

You don’t have to leave it’s something you choose

We had a connection I thought nothing could sever

She said to me, our time is at an end

She said, I’ll be back someday, but for now I must leave

I search through my mind all the things that I’ll miss
To think last night’s goodbye was our very last kiss

I know that we’re over, but I don’t think its right
But there’s nothing I can do, so I bid her good night

And I’m on my knees day and night, trying to pray
