The Trail

by M MEM   Aug 13, 2005

There is life
There is bliss
I guess you just must live, wait, and fight until you get there.
It hurts so bad though.
I think, I hope I made it

So many tears dampen the trail
So many breaks of depression,
So many times my heart longed,
Not knowing how I shall make it much farther.

But then the hill leveled out,
Flat
I made it up.
There is life
Making puddles of tears and bathing in them and my own pity, sorrow, pain,
was just part of that trail
Some parts are harder
Some parts are scary and painful,
And sometimes, someone really helps you along,
You don’t realize how much they helped until they’re gone...

I really like that. Nice comparisons...and it's true...it's sad when you realize too late... Well done.
