Queen of broken hearts and persuasion

by EpithetPoet   Aug 13, 2005

Queen of broken hearts and persuasion
Men are seductively led by her charm
Euphorically held in passionate ecstasy
Unwittingly plunged deep within harm

Locked in her deep embrace
Her enchanting lips hold you tight
Ignorant to your crushing lungs
You give up all will to fight

Her golden locks surround you
Enveloping every inch of mirth
While her demonic eyes possess you
As you sink lower into the earth

Only when you reach the dirt
Do you realize her rotten hands
Clenched tight round your pale throat
While the rest of her triumphantly stands

Your vocal cords break in terror
So only a whisper protrudes from the night
Disguising itself as the latent breeze
Leaving only its eery chill in sight

this is deep...frightening in a way. Sort of like listening to a creepy story.

I could never write a poem like this, so I admire your tremendously. Enjoyed reading your work. Keep it up
