Stop Before its to Late

by ~*~MoNiQuE~*~   Aug 13, 2005

I’m trying to ignore the love we once had,
Desperate to forget what we used to share,
I’m hiding my feelings, blocking out everything sad,
But deep inside I’m hoping you still care.

You’re pretending to be attracted to a girl,
But I can see through your pathetic charade,
All you want is to give them all a twirl,
Soon you’ll be the one left alone; betrayed.

I’m pretending as well; with a different intent,
Also always putting on a big charade,
Hiding behind a fake smile and a different scent,
But late at night, the tears swiftly invade.

No other guy can seem to fill your void,
I seem to be lost in this world all alone.
Ever since our love was destroyed,
I’ve been searching for another to have as my own.

The girl you talk about will never be me,
She will never have a smile like mine,
And when she finds your fault, she will flee,
Unlike me who touched, and sent shivers up your spine.

If you dont stop before its to late, then someday,
You will look back over your shoulder,
And there I will be, standing a far away,
And our love will burn without a flame, turning to smoulder.

I like that you're telling this guy that he's gonna regret losing you because I have no problem telling my ex that he lost the best thing that ever happened to him! And I believe that more females should have this ability!
