Our Hammock Days

by Dawn   Aug 13, 2005

Laying there free from the world
He holds me close, he never lets go.
I know he cares, I can tell by his stare.
telling me stories of his life.
Some are sad and some, happy
as he says that he is, when he is with me.
We lay there in that hammock,
day after day.
We even lay there to watch the rising and setting rays.
Soon it will be time for me to go
Back to the only other home that I know.
So sad and lonely I become,
He understands, but still in denial, he won't let me go.
I don't try to fight my way out.
Because I suddenly have found a
new place I'd like to call home.
Laying there free from the world.
He holds me close and still, he never let go.
