Wall of Stone

by kat   Aug 14, 2005

Let go of the reason,
make me understand.
Give me something to believe in,
prove that you're a man.
All of those feelings
you keep bottled up inside.
What are you afraid of?
What is there to hide?
You tell me you trust me,
but there's so much you won't show.
You tell me that you love me,
and that you'd be lost if i chose to go.
You think theres a wall of stone,
built up around your heart,
just cuz you're afraid of being hurt,
or maybe torn apart.
You tell me i can build a door,
and that you'll see me through,
i cant seem to build it,
but so much of me is you.
I'm not strong enough to walk away,
I don't expect to hear you begging me to stay.
Take down the walls,
or open the door up if you must.
But when you tell me that you love me,
promise me your trust.
